Near Railbach in Germany’s Freienstein, numerous witnesses including a man named Georg Miltenburger claimed that they saw a creature that they called a ‘burning man’ or a ‘man of fire’ running throughout the hills in 1125, as it spat fire from its nose and mouth. Some even attested that they could see its burning ribs, and it apparently wandered around the mountainous area for quite some time.
Analysis[]
Ufologist and humanoid expert Albert S. Rosales suggested that this could have been an alien entity wearing luminous clothes and using beams of light which could have been interpreted in a very poor and superstitious fashion, but I would beg to differ on the basis that there have been plenty of reports of flaming humanoids in both ufology and other paranormal fields. These include the Felixstowe Fire Demon of 1965 and the Žiburinis of Lithuanian folklore. The above picture is by dailycryptodrawings on Tumblr, and is meant to show the Felixstowe Fire Demon but I’ve decided to use it to represent the Railbach Burning Man.
